Apple Computer is all set as it introduces the new 'non-touch' iPod. According to reports of a Chinese broadsheet, the head of Hon Hai Precision Industry Co confirmed that Apple is about to introduce the next generation of
iPod MP3 players. Hon Hai is the contract manufacturer renowned for its Foxconn Electronics brand. Although the Foxconn exec did not provide any details regarding the new project, by the fact that Apple is releasing a new generation of iPods, it is hoped that it's not another restyled version but the much awaited "true" video iPod.
Rival companies are in for a tough ride with regards the competition in the market for high-end MP3 players. According to rumors the new iPod will have a 3.5 inch colored touch screen which also serves a the click wheel. A digital
click wheel ,that is, which appears when the screen is touched and disappears when you remove your finger. How and in what way did that become 'non-touch'? They would have to work it out before it is released. In addition, the news reports also said that the new iPod is expected to come out by fourth quarter of this year in time for the holiday season.
