Reports say that Apple Ipod will release its new model the soonest possible time but there are technological challenges that may thwart the release and prolong the waiting Ipod fanatics. This new model has different but more advanced features compared to the old model and other Ipods such as video Ipods and Ipod-nano. The news says that the latest Apple Ipod will be released in the first quarter of 2007.
Friday, May 4. 2007
The basic technological challenges in this latest Ipod model are the screen and the battery. However, Apple Ipod regulators say it will not take that long to solve these problems. They will do their best to work as fast as they can for the sake of those techies who want nothing but the music downloading and video streaming. Ipod is now an all-around techie gadget that you can use when you are bored or you are frustrated.
Thursday, May 3. 2007
The soon-to-be-released Ipod will have an increased screen size as well as a longer battery life. It will also have a better 3D graphics processor and functionality. Apple is also planning on the Bluetooth feature of the latest Ipod that will, by the way, be converted into vPod or video-ipod. No worries for all techie people! Ipod's price will retain at $199 to $249. But the most especial news is that its storage capacity will double to 2GB, 4GB to 8GB.

The recent news circulating the country today said that Microsoft admitted it will soon be launching a music gadget to rival Apple iPods. Zune, Microsoft's MP3 player will be introduced to the music-loving public within this year. But the iPod maker is determined not to hand over their crown to the giant software company. After releasing the shoe iPod, a project with Nike, Apple says that it might soon be releasing an iPod phone.
Tuesday, May 1. 2007
The much-awaited phone (or much-hyped by Apple) will be released perhaps within this year or perhaps in the early months of 2007. Peter Oppengheimer, Apple's chief officer in financial aspects said that their firm is putting loads of its capital for the development of the music gadgets. I think that the phone from Apple is simply an iPod with a phone feature on it allowing users to use it for communication. Well, that's new, if you ask me. At least, you can send messages through it.

iTunes, the popular music software is now integrated in non-Apple products. Motorola products like that RAZR V3i and ROKR phones have built-in iTunes player in them. But these phones might not satisfy users who've grown to love iTunes because the Moto machines can only handle up to one hundred songs. The iPod players on the other hand, can play, store, and save up to thousands of songs, video clips, pictures.

The upcoming Apple iPod does not belong to the ordinary handheld gadgets that flood the market. It is the kind of gizmo Apple Computer Inc had in mind when they felt that a new gaming device must be introduced to the public. You've got it right guys. iPods are deemed to become the next-generation mobile game consoles. Fans of Xbox 360 games and PlayStation 2 will surely be delighted to see and play their fave games on a smaller-than-a-gum-packet digital gizmo.
Saturday, April 28. 2007
Well, actually, this entry is based on a rumor I've read about iPod's invasion of the gaming market. I'm not really sure if it's true, (but I hope it is). Anyway, the article or rumor (whichever you prefer) said that Nvidia, a company popular for its graphics software will provide the graphic interface of the gaming iPod. Nvidia is currently used in laptops, personal digital assistants, and Sony PSP. Three-dimensional graphics will be integrated on the said games.
Friday, April 27. 2007
The game iPods will perhaps be the main rival of portable console game machines like Sony PSP and Nintendo Gameboy. Gameboy is considered as the benchmark of mobile game gadgets. On the other hand, PSP is the miniature size version of our old PlayStation machines. If ever the speculations are true, I believe these iPods will get a massive following since everybody was smitten by the little gadgets. Let's hope Apple will not deny the rumors and commercialize the gaming iPods sooner than we think.

The death of a stupid and useless government leader with a pestering mole on his face is easier to accept than the demise of my Shuffle. Shuffle and I lived together for five months in the same roof. But no sex okay not unless I want to get my organs electrocuted! She played wonderful music for me everytime I caressed her thermo-plastic body, that's all she does anyway. Shuffle is fair-skinned, but she's so slim, and I shudder to think that she's bulimic that's why she died.
It all started one night when she refused to sing me songs anymore. I pressed her buttons gently, thinking that she's just jealous because I was playing old tricks with my DVDs a lot lately than spending time with her. Then there came those terrible flashes of orange and green lights coming from her screen. I shook and pressed her again and again, but she just lay in my arms unconscious. Desperation flooded my veins, and I screamed, and I cursed, and I asked why the guy up there took her life so quickly. Kill the criminals, hackers, and cruel senators, but not Shuffle! Apple Computer Inc replaces any damage hardware within one year warranty, so though it's difficult for me to let go, I have to set her free.

Apple Computer is all set as it introduces the new 'non-touch' iPod. According to reports of a Chinese broadsheet, the head of Hon Hai Precision Industry Co confirmed that Apple is about to introduce the next generation of iPod MP3 players. Hon Hai is the contract manufacturer renowned for its Foxconn Electronics brand. Although the Foxconn exec did not provide any details regarding the new project, by the fact that Apple is releasing a new generation of iPods, it is hoped that it's not another restyled version but the much awaited "true" video iPod.
Rival companies are in for a tough ride with regards the competition in the market for high-end MP3 players. According to rumors the new iPod will have a 3.5 inch colored touch screen which also serves a the click wheel. A digital click wheel ,that is, which appears when the screen is touched and disappears when you remove your finger. How and in what way did that become 'non-touch'? They would have to work it out before it is released. In addition, the news reports also said that the new iPod is expected to come out by fourth quarter of this year in time for the holiday season.

First introduced in October of 2004, the iPod U2 Edition has been relaunched by Apple as part of the continued partnership between Apple, Universal Music Group and the famous Irish band, U2. The new U2 version, based on the 5th Gen iPods, offers an extra 10 Gigabyte storage for a total of 30 Gigabytes for a lesser price, that's $329, than its predecessor. The U2 iPod can hold up to 7,500 songs, 75 hours of video or 25,000 photos. Like the earlier version, the new U2 iPod comes in a black stainless-steel casing, a red click-wheel and guess what? The custom-engraved signatures of the band members of U2. People who will purchase the unit will get an exclusive video of the band downloadable from the iTunes Music Store .
U2 is composed of front man Bono, Adam Clayton, Larry Mullen, and The Edge. The group has a history dating back from 1978, since then they have conquered the world with the popularity of their songs and the power their performance. So far the Grammy Award-winning band is that only band accommodated by Apple to co-brand their own iPod. Apple sees a possibility to do the same thing with other bands but at this point let's stick with U2.

The legal battle between two giant companies, Apple and Singapore-based Creative; popular for its MuVo and Zen MP3 players, continues. Creative started the fight last month when it first filed a lawsuit in a California District Court claiming that Apple has infringed on a patent which Creative claims was awarded to it in August of 2005. The US international Trade Commission also received a request from Creative to investigate Apple regarding the matter. The dispute patent, applied in 2001, covers an interface for navigating music in Creatives Zen and Nomad MP3 players. Just this week, in another round of the legal fight between these manufacturers, Apple has filed a lawsuit for patent infringement against Creative. The lawsuit was filed in a District Court in Texas. This time the patent pertains to how data is displayed on computer monitors, i.e., for editing information on media players. The action is seeking for damages as well as a court order to curb further infringement.
In my recent article, I've emphasized that these patent suits only benefit lawyers making them rich. In no way will it lower the cost of the products, nor will it force companies to improve on their products. Instead it benefits lawyers and clogs court dockets. Lawyers and courts do not benefit consumers.

If you're getting loads of MP3 songs, videos, and photos but can't afford a larger storage capacity iPod offered by the 4th Gen iPod , then you might need to upgrade your nano. No, it's not an external storage for the nano. If it is true, however, iPod fans might be lured to buy a bigger and better nano, the 8GB nano for example.
Rumors have it that Apple is coming up with a new version of its iPod nano with an 8GB storage. Can you imagine storing that many songs in just a tiny device? According to DigiTimes, Apple is stocking up on huge quantities of flash memory based on its orders from two leading chip manufacturers in South Korea: Hynix Semiconductor and Samsung Electronics. Possibly, the Cupertino-based company is launching a new flash-based iPod nano. But the truth behind this is not yet confirmed by Apple itself.
Apple made an agreement with chip makers Intel, Hynix, Samsung, Toshiba, and Micron in November of last year for its supply of NAND flash memory until the year 2010. In December of 2005, Apple bought 40 million GB of flash memory chips from Hynix alone. At this point, we can only hope that the rumor is indeed true.

What do Nike and Apple have in common, except for the fact that they're big companies. A partnership that is. The two companies have entered into a partnership which aims to fuse sports and music together through a cool line of Nike+iPod products that's guaranteed to wow both sports and music buffs.
The first of these products is called the Nike-iPod Sport Kit. It's no ordinary sports gear. It's a Nike footwear that can communicate wirelessly with an iPod nano during a sports activity or a workout. This is the first footwear that is capable of talking to an iPod – the Nike Air Zoom Moire. The sport kit can render information on distance and time, burned calories and so on. These information are then stored on the iPod and displayed on the unit's screen. Along with this innovative product, Apple launched a Nike Sport Music category on the iTune's Music Store and a website for users so that they can get the most from this experience.
Other products include tops, waterproof jackets, shorts and an armband which are all especially designed for iPod and Nike users to make their workouts more exciting. The products are available through the Apple Store, Apple retail stores and authorized resellers as well as Niketown, Nike Women Stores or online at the Nike website.

As sales of MP3 players continue to skyrocket, claiming millions have been sold, the competition between these manufacturers - between electronic companies - gets hotter and fiercer by the day. These companies end up throwing lawsuits against each other and even launching ' hate campaigns' against rival companies. One of which is Sandisk "iDon't anti-iPod Campaign." While Apple's iPod may have been in the constant top spot, Sandisk on the other hand maintains the No. 2 position among sellers of MP3 players in the United States.
The iDon't campaign was launched last week. A website was created - the iDon't website - and the objective? To market Sandisk's Sensa e200 MP3 player. In addition, it wants to impart to consumers the message that people who use and buy iPods are unoriginal; that there is a need to break free from choosing the usual. Yes, people, to break the monotony by buying another rip-off brand. Sounds ridiculous? In this case, I could not agree more. The guerrilla marketing doesn't actually mention iPod but insinuates to the industry-leading music player which has the trademark white earbud earphones. Will Sandisk succeed with its goals, that is, to topple iPod? Or will it just acquiesced and be contented with the second spot? All I know is people will buy iPod no matter what.

There's just no other word that can best describe how people rave about the iPod, but the word sensational. Millions of people around the world are getting their hands on these cute gadgets which is why it's hard to imagine if it could evolve any further but it did. Today, the iPod family has in its roster the original iPod, iPod mini, iPod shuffle, and the iPod nano. No wonder it is called the world's best portable digital media player and also the biggest selling brand of MP3 players in the market.
Alongside Apple iPod's success, is the success of other companies that manufacture accessories, software, and other great peripherals for the iPod. XtremeMac is the first ever manufacturer of iPod accessories like its original leather case and car charger that made it big with iPod users.
Today, the company also produces cases, speakers, FM transmitters, and headphones for the iPod. Another is Belkin Corporation a popular manufacturer of electronic integration solutions in the US. Some of Belkin's products for the iPod are the leather flip cases, battery packs, auto kit, and other enhancements like an FM transmitter and a cassette adapter.

Since its initial launch in 2001, Apple iPod has reaped success in the global market. For the technology was what the people exactly wanted and needed then. However, since the device only worked with Apple Macintosh then, the production and sales of said technology was only limited. But in 2003, Apple reinvented iPod and launched a new product that was equipped with iTunes and that was not only working with Macintosh, but also with Windows. This recent development then boosted the capability of iPod in the consumer market.
There are many special features attributed to the success of iPod. First is its very simple interface that is very easy to learn and master. Second is its large memory. A regular device is equipped with 30 up to 60 gigabytes of memory capacity. Just think about how many songs you can record with such a huge memory. Third, the Apple Ipod features a visually appealing design that attracts consumers. Fifth is the compatibility of the product not only with Macintosh, but also with windows. This recent cross over greatly contributed to the popularity and success of iTunes in the market.

iPod is the newest craze in town today. Apple Mac has successfully dominated the MP3 media players, and invaded the music technology. Comes in a pocket-size packaged, iPod manages to make its name in the world of high-technology music gadgets.
iPod is actually an MP3 player; it has the capacity to store about 2,200 recorded songs for its 15GB unit, without compromising the high-quality of sound.
The physical feature of iPod is attractive because of its stylish white pearl color, and its mini stainless steel pocket-sized form. At the first glance, you will think that iPod is a new generation of a personal computer or laptop. That's how Apple Mac created the iPod -- a new technology icon to explore.
The iPod's LCD display carries the details of the track and the progress bar for the time used. Like a cellphone's LCD, it also indicates the battery and current time, as an option. The 4 buttons control the navigation of the iPod, by scrolling to the desired direction.
Like computers, iPod is designed with a Firewall connection aside from the USB interface feature. The unit has charging cable, white earphones, an in-line remote control, a case and a docking post.

People can't stop talking about Apple iPods, I can't either. Why so? Hey, it's the next best invention next to television sets. Yeah, I know the walkman was the first one to invade our ears but it had all these complications that Apple iPod got rid of. No more hassle of bringing bulks of cassette tapes or compact discs to holiday breaks or out-of-town trips. Cassette tapes, that took forever to rewind, are now reduced as sentimental items that mushy people can't seem to throw away.
What about CDs? Well, at first, I fell in love with this technology too because it gave quality sound and it made accessing the track you want to hear much easier. What made me break up with it was when I used it during jogging sessions or even just when you take a stroll at the park. Skip here, skip there. Besides, I'm not the type of person who really knows how to take care of their compact discs. So when the iPod came, was I ever so excited! Now that I own one, I can't complain about anything. Storing thousands of songs without bringing CDs or tapes, organizing your playlists, listening to songs based on genre, what more could I ask for? Call me a music-gadget-whore, I really don't care, as long as I got my iPod with me.

The iPod brought a musical and technological revolution when it was first introduced. Nowadays, everyone seems to want an iPod; from teenagers who want to belong with the "in crowd" to a regular Joe who wanting some entertainment while sitting at his desk all day doing paper works. Who could blame them? I mean, who wouldn’t want a tiny gadget that can store over a thousand songs of its owner’s choice. No longer would you have to be overburdened by bringing along you CD collection. You wouldn’t even need to keep pressing the rewind button to hear your favorite song or hit the fast forward button to skip a song your have no particular liking. Through all the iPod mania has anyone even bothered thinking how this tiny machine works?
Once you have uploaded your favorite tracks on your iPod, the files are stored on the device’s solid-state memory. When you want to hear your favorite song, your iPod then pulls the song out of its memory and decompresses the MP3 encoding. The decompressed bytes then pass through a digital-to-analog converter. Then, the amplifier inside your device boosts and sends the signal to the audio port where the headphones are connected. Viola! Music then emanates from the headphones to your ears and you get to enjoy your favorite song.
