Eager Apple fans will soon find their dreams coming true, that is, if the rumors on an ultra-portable Apple computer were true. According to hearsay, the iPod maker is coming up with a handheld computer which is due in January of next year just in time for the Macworld show in San Francisco. The truth to this is not yet known not even the sources. But I just hoped that it is indeed true. According to a wall Street analyst Ben Reitzes, Apple is said to have found its new partner in the guise of the chip-maker Intel. Intel and Apple will hand-in-hand produce the rumored device.
Nevertheless, the said device is hoped to use Flash memory and that it could start up in just a few seconds. It will also be sleek in design, silent and virtually shock-proof. It is said to have a touch screen format. Think of nano with a QWERTY keypad underneath or an iPod video with stylus-functionality.
Apple has been a constant force in the market especially with its iPod MP3 players, but with a new product that is just as exciting as the iconic iPod, it could send people even crazier.

The Apple Mac followers have come to a split. And that was ever since Apple decided to use Intel chips on their newly released Mac notebook computers. Intel processors as we all know are capable of running Windows. That's the deal here. Mac notebooks can now run Microsoft Windows applications, which was once a no-fly zone for Macs. But using the software released by Apple in April, Macs can fly from Mac Os X to Windows and back. Call it amazing but loyal followers saw it as an accession to its rival, while some think it is a heretical move for the Mac-maker.
But regardless of the atrocities involved, the versatility provided by this new set-up, which was once unthinkable, has now made possible to discover the best of both worlds. And you know what I mean with 'both worlds.' Basically, the computer world is divided between two major camps: Apple loyalists and Windows loyalists. The convenience that you grew up with using Microsoft PowerPoint or Microsoft Word is now found in you Mac computer, working vis a vis the Tiger, Apple's own operating system. Don't you just love it when you get a little extras sometimes?

It's quite normal for laptops to get hot after several hours of use. But when your laptop gets too hot even after just minutes of use, something's probably not right. If that laptop is a MacBook, then the idea would sound more preposterous and it would definitely make any person exclaim, “Is that Possible? But it's Apple!”
Customers began bombarding Apple with their queries regarding the heat issue on their Macbooks. Fortunately, Apple responded coming up with a technical note posted on its website. Good thing it's not something serious. The customers can even fix the problem themselves.
Apple may not be one of the companies to easily accept its mistakes, but in the note released by the computer and cool iPod maker, it has acquiesced to its fault saying that the extraordinary heat may be caused by a manufacturing slip-up. In addition, Apple said that a piece of plastic may have been inadvertently left in the rear vent of the laptop causing it to run too warm. The plastic covering the vent was used to prevent dust from gathering inside the laptop. Apple said and I quote, “If your MacBook has the plastic still over the vent, simply remove and discard it.”

I have done an acid test on the new Apple 17" MacBook Pro -- the latest addition to the top of the line notebooks that make Steve Jobs proud again. The new expanded version of the MacBook Pro departs from its original version by means of screen size. Its predecessor sports a 15-inch screen while this beauty is two inches bigger. The 17-inch screen Mac, weighing a mere 6.8 pounds is set to be available for shipping by next week. Apple has announced that it will carry a retail price of $2,799.
The new version has similar features with the older version. It has a built-in iSight web-cam and iChat AV that goes well with podcasting and iMovie recording. It likewise includes two new Apple software: Apple's Photo Booth software and the FrontRow software. It still carries the 2.16 Ghz Intel Duo processors, which Apple claims is faster five times than the PowerBook G4.
Many Mac fans, as well as critics, have long anticipated for this powerful notebook. Now, Apple has finally taken off the wraps from this lightweight but powerfully stylish laptop. I wonder if there is another innovation in the works for the MacBook that Apple is not telling us...

People have long anticipated for this, and here it comes: the Intel-based Apple Macbook laptop in white and black casing! Finally, the guys at Apple have granted our wishes for more colorful and cooler portable computer technologies, especially for us people who are young at heart. This new innovation in the Macbook is packed with the 2.16GHz Core Duo processors, a big departure from the 1.83GHz of its former predecessor. This mean machine lets you indulge in live-chat with its built-in webcam and a 13.3-inches 1,280 x 800 resolution screen display. It comes with a MagSafe power connector which is a new feature for Apple laptops, two USB ports, a FireWire port including a Mini DVI connector.
Apple was prompted to introduce these new models in lieu of the old PowerPC-based iBooks including the Powerbook G4 (12”) which were removed from the Apple Online Store and also in time for the back-to-school selling season. The white laptops are available with 6O Gigabyte Hard Drives running at both 1.83GHz and 2GHz. While the black ones run at 2GHz with 80 Gigabyte Hard Drive. All the three new models come with a 512 Megabyte of storage memory.

I am certainly a fan of all portable things. My room is full of every portable gadget imaginable. I have my trusty mobile phone, a PDA, portable DVD player, MP3 player, a portable video recorder, and so on. However, what I don't have my hands on yet is my own portable computer. I have a desktop pc, still I'm glad that it's a Mac. Otherwise, I would have thought of trashing it from the very beginning. But you know, everyone needs to update their gears every once in a while, just as a girl updates her wardrobe, right? So I decided to shift from a desktop pc to one that's portable.
With my ever busy and always-mobile schedule, I sure needed a laptop that can keep up. Good thing, I didn't have to think twice with the Apple PowerBook 12" 1.5GHz Combo Drive. I love my desktop pc but I must say that I love this better, no more convincing needed.
Every thing marvelous is packed in this laptop, plain and simple. Those guys at Apple sure know how to impress people like me. With a myriad of amazing features, one-inch thick superior design and wireless freedom; this pretty portable saved my day.

Have you ever experienced having your laptop battery run out in the middle of an important business meeting? Well I did. Here's the story. Last year I bought an Apple iBook G4. After about 6 weeks, I occasionally experienced power loss even in the middle of a presentation. I was caught off guard because of my battery and the way I underestimated it. Yes, I know. A battery only costs a hundred bucks, so you can change it at your whim. But never underestimate the power that it holds or else you'll leave your laptop running on just one foot.
There are many ways by which you can maximize the performance of your Apple laptop battery and this also means a great deal of care and maintenance. If you're using your laptop for the first time, charge it completely and be sure that you have the latest software updates that allow you to maximize your battery. An Apple notebook uses a Lithium-ion battery. In order to properly maintain the performance of this kind of battery, the ions have to keep moving occasionally. Keeping it healthy is as simple as fully charging your computer laptop battery and also fully discharging it to prevent the laptop from suffering a memory effect. Also, you need to clean you battery as often as you could by using cotton and alcohol. Clean batteries provide better connection with your laptop.
In addition, use the battery at least once every two weeks and avoid dormancy for long periods of time. However, if you're not going to use your battery for a month or more, you may want to keep it in a safe storage far from heat and metal objects. Then recharge it if its time to use it again.

The Apple Macbook Pro may just be the prettiest laptop on earth. It is even more powerful than the PowerBook G4 because its speed is 4x faster and 8x the graphics bandwidth. The one-inch thick laptop is lightweight, sleek and ultra stylish. The MacBook Pro is the first notebook computer built on the new Intel Core Duo which is composed of two Pentium M processors, Intel’s best product, in one package.
Let the new MacBook Pro blow you away with its amazingly cool features. It has an illuminated keyboard, built in iSight camera that allows videoconferencing, built-in Bluetooth and a stunning LCD screen. It is likewise the first notebook where you can get to feel the FrontRow media which makes it easy for users to control their video, music and movie creations.
The notebook also comes with the iLife’06. A useful tool that professionals and non-professionals in web designing can use in making postcards, calendars, DVDs, websites, and even podcasts. If you have dreamed of a laptop that can steal everyone’s attention, then dream no more because that laptop may just be the MacBook Pro.

My friend cannot stop talking about her new Apple Powerbook G4. I recommended it to her since she was looking to buy a new laptop at the start of the year. She bought the more "girly" Powerbook with a size 12 inch monitor. She totally raves about it. Although she knows I own one too, it's all she can talk about. I can't blame her, really. It is fast, slim, lightweight and big on memory. It has everything you will need in a laptop. Actually, more, if you do think about it.
My friend is that way because, aside from her portable computer being new, this laptop has longer battery life that you can use during those long road trips. Even when I am, or she is going out of the country, it's no trouble bringing the Powerbook on the plane. Plus, Powerbook G4 has a DVD-burning superdrive which allows us to take a break from work by burning DVDs of our favorite movies we downloaded through peer to peer. It's fast and very reliable.
I just hope next time she calls, she tries to talk about something else. The topic is getting quite old.

1440 x 900 in million of colors on a 17 inch display. Wow! And it's all in a portable computer. Apple Powerbook G4 was not only made for speed but also for sharp and clear images. It can read and write CDs and DVDs at multiple speed of a regular laptop. It can play your DVDs on its wide, colorful screen.
Superb sound accompanies your movie viewing. Plus, it has a port for digital cameras and camcorders so you can view your photos and movies on its LCD screen. It can also be connected to your TV, VGA monitor or projection system.

With 1.33 GHz, a PowerPC G4 processor and 167MHz system, this Powerbook will heat you up. It has twice the video memory of usual notebooks, and twice DVD burning speed. The graphics and screen clarity in this 12 inch monitor laptop is very sharp. Though quite heavy, this Apple Powerbook is fast and has more storage. You'll have no problem switching your user-interface into a new OS because it can recognize immediately the software. This laptop is high-quality and very reliable.
