The argument between Macs and PCs continues to this day. The two computer brands have been competing several times on which is the best. In any case, no one can refute the many great features of an Apple Mac computer
What an Apple Mac computer offers
One of the primary features of an Apple Mac computer is its graphic quality. Many designers prefer to work with a Mac because of this. Photos are clear and vivid, making the designing experience more fun. Likewise, a Mac computer is said to be more streamlined than a PC. This way, everything is easy to figure out. You won’t lose time just working on the controls when you’d rather get down to business.
Advantages of an Apple Mac over other computer brands
One of the pointed advantages with an Apple Mac computer is that it is still less prone to malicious attacks. While millions of viruses are released each day to attack Windows computers, only a few viruses attack Macs. Likewise, Macs have consistently remained user-friendly, durable and reliable.
Many have made a switch to Apple Mac computers. There is a good reason to this; and you can find out for yourself when you try one.

I love all things Apple: Mac, iPods, and iTunes. I even consider Steve Jobs as an icon for pushing Apple to the top. But I read something in the news that I know, will make me lose all respect for Jobs, if approved. I mean, he is powerful, alright?! But instead of doing service to the million of subscribers who made him rich, he is thinking of victimizing us. I really hope the rumor that Steve Jobs pushes Hollywood's movie industry to increase prices on movie downloads is not true.
The account said that Jobs is pushing for a $9.99 unit price per downloaded movie. He reasons that since one dollar per music download and TV shows click, it is also possible for movies. I hope that Hollywood people stand fast and not bow to Jobs's request. If they don't, well it's time to say bye-bye to downloading " Take The Lead".
Apple users face a bleak picture if the Apple's CEO's proposal is approved. First, these movies almost cost as much as DVDs. Second, since they are legally downloaded, they are bound by DRM-- meaning they play on only one medium. Third, because of its price and DRM protection, the proposal only pushes people into piracy and illegal downloads. Now that is not exactly helpful for both the consumers and Hollywood, is it? Perhaps, this is just Jobs' ploy to herald the arrival of a new enhanced iPod for movie-playing. But ploy or not, Jobs is the only one to benefit from this. Not exactly a good Apple service example, if you ask me.

What used to be the most obvious thing to do during a student's life in college has now begun to lose its popularity. College was always tied with parties and drinking. But it seems as though this generation of college students are really making their deviance to old-society felt.
It was found that among college students in San Jose California, drinking beer was only second to the iPod in terms of being the cool thing in campus. This was found by the research study conducted by Student Monitor. According to them, more than 70 percent of the 1200 college students they had surveyed rated iPods as being cooler than drinking beer. Some of the other items included in the survey were, bar hopping, text messaging, and music downloads. This survey result discounted last year's results when the iPod was only ranked in second place next to activities that had something to do with alcohol.
What makes this result very surprising is that for 18 years, alcohol related activities remained in the number one position for the survey. However, this is not the first time that it has been dethroned. The popularity of the internet in 1997 was also able to place alcoholic activities on second. So is this trend going to remain? Or will be just some other fad that will soon die out? We'd have to have to find our next year.

Our insatiable desire for music have inspired many companies to produce what we call digital entertainment. The huge chunk of downloaded digital media are composed of MP3 songs that users can enjoy in their portable MP3 players. Although there are many online sites that offer MP3 song downloads, Apple's iTunes has been the preferred choice for audiophiles to exercise their music freedom by purchasing songs for a minimal fee.
Apple's jukebox has opened up its Australian counterpart just recently. The iTunes Music Store Australia is the new addition to the growing list of iTunes website. The round-up of offerings does not provide Sony BMG for lack of mutual agreement, but iTunes is still a force to be reckoned with in terms of music downloading. Each song would cost music fans A$1.69 while videos can be purchased at A$3.39. If that doesn't fill the void, people can download an album priced at A$16.99.
The website of iTunes Australia features local talents such as Ben Lee, Missy Higgins, and of course, Kylie Minogue. Short animated films from Pixar can also be downloaded into their iPod video. Now, with the iTunes Music Store Australia, people down under would never have to rely on other music services again.

Apple, indeed, finds a way for loyal customers to feel better and secured about their computers. Following the program that other computer companies (like Dell) have, the Apple maker launched this week a computer take-back program, a service that is absolutely free. US clients can have the opportunity to recycle their old desktop computers every time they buy a Mac. The recycling program is fully environment-friendly.
Customers can rush to the nearest Apple retail store or log on to the online store to avail of the program. The offer is applicable to all computers whether they are Mac or not. So if you want to get a hand with the recycling program, Apple will send you an email with the instructions including a label for free shipping and recycling. Then all you have to do is put your old PC in a box and ship it to Apple. I am not sure and I doubt that they would reimburse you for the shipping, since your PC will be fixed here in the US.
If you're wondering if Apple does it with the iPod, then consider yourself lucky. Apple is also offering a free recycling program for the iPod. In addition, customers can avail of a 10% discount once they buy a new iPod.

Apple has overpowered consumers worldwide. Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple certainly knows what it takes to woo people to buy their products. Just look at the impact of the iPod on the younger generation. I assume that Apple didn't do much convincing over young people to patronize their MP3 players. On the other hand, busy professionals and executives have found their new best friend in the guise of an Apple Mac notebook computer.
Speaking of Mac laptops. Here's a good news to Mac owners and bad news for laptop thieves. The worst thing that can happen to your $1,000 USD investment is when a thief swipes your new MacBook from you. Everywhere in the world, laptop theft has become very rampant. At airports, cafes, libraries and any place where suspicious crooks are at work. Once your laptop was taken without your permission, reporting it to the police won't bring any help. But a new tracking program will. It's called Undercover, developed by a company called Orbicule.
The Undercover will help any laptop owner to regain his laptop back once it gets swiped. All you need is to report that it was stolen. Once the thief connects to the web, the laptop sends out an IP address making it traceable. The built-in webcam will also take a picture of the crook before the Mac simulates a screen failure which makes the laptop unusable. Now your laptop is back and placed where it really belongs.

Technology has placed us in a better spot than we where 50 years ago. It has created colossal impacts in our everyday lives. But the far-reaching effects of technology even has a place in court. Lawyers are getting freakingly rich just by appearing in court helping out electronic companies suing each other on all sorts of infringement violations.
Here's one that's been going around headlines these days. Apple is getting sued, again, this time by Creative Technology, a Singaporean-based company known for its Zen and MuVo MP3 players. Market competition for MP3 players are getting hotter by the day, and everybody knows that Apple leads the whole pack. Fueled by the stats, Creative feels that it's not getting its fair share in the sales. The company charged Apple for violating a patent of the navigational menu, a patent awarded to Creative in 2005. In addition, Creative is demanding that the sale of iPods in the US be restricted. Pardon me for being cynical, but I think that the action will not prosper. I can only predict, that these two companies will, by and large, enter a settlement. After all, it boils down to tactics and if Creative thought that they could smear Apple's name, well, if anything, Apple only became more popular with the case.

When Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple announced to the world the release of a new craze, that we now know as the iPod, the world easily jumped into the bandwagon, buying everything that has the name iPod printed on it. From accessories to software and even web music services have been widely patronized by music-hungry individuals.
Today, I learned from the net that almost half of those who own an MP3 player use an iPod. So what does that tell us? Is Apple invading the planet? But that is only half of my story. Have you heard about Apple's plans of coming up with its own cellphone -- the iPhone (I suppose). Is that part of the plan too? Although it is still on the rumor page of broadsheets and gadget magazines, I think that if Apple really comes up with an iPhone, it will as well create the same effect on people as the iPod.
Early this year, Apple has announced that it has sold over 42 million iPod units since it first came out. Could the iPhone beat that stats once it comes out in the market. We will never know, but I can only predict that it will.

Need I tell you that you don't have to carry a boom box on your shoulder just to listen to good funky music? A boom box may be too heavy for you, so why not strap a pack of gum? Err, I mean the smallest Apple MP3 player --the iPod Shuffle!
The most unpredictable member of the iPod family, the Shuffle (just like the other iPod gadgets) lets you explore the inner music rebel in you. Play continuous combinations for as long as 12 hours. If that sounds like music to your ears, then wait 'til you see it with your very own eyes. With its minimalist and sleek design, it is as wicked as the dance moves you would be making.
What's more, through the iTunes Autofill, your Shuffle would not be left behind with the latest hits and music genres. Discover a whole new world of music by updating your Shuffle as often as you want. It is not only viable for people who use Mac PCs but for those working with Windows as well. Plug in your Shuffle into your PC and iTunes does the rest automatically. It is that simple. But if you want to do it your own way, then that's permissible, too.

When Apple comes up with their latest addition to their roster of products, people usually react with their oohs and ahhs. This isn't that much surprising because Apple is truly ahead of the pack in the computer and digital entertainment race. I remember my first purchase of my iPod. I was so amazed at how MP3 players have evolved into powerful gadgets that they are now, thanks to Apple's creative genius.
Dealing with its hardware designs, Apple's is simply beautiful. Pardon my choice of words but there isn't any word more appropriate to use. Fusion of aesthetics and functionality into one impressive package, sometimes Apple can even overdo it in this department. It is no wonder that customers prefer it over its better rivals. Apple's desktop computers are also something to beat. With its crisp and clean white color, the iMac tips the scale in terms of advanced designing.
The biggest competitive advantage of Apple nowadays is their iPod MP3 players. Its sales are soaring high into the stratosphere that it's just so ridiculous not to join in the action. It has created a craze, a phenomenon if you may.

There are many computer viruses lurking around in the internet that may wreak havoc in your computer. These viruses can destroy your files, disrupt computer's hardware functions, reformat the hard drives and enable mass email action to every entry in your email address book. Although virus attacks have been very common with Windows systems, this doesn't mean that the Mac platform is safe and secured from such attacks. It is likely that because of the Unix foundation of the Mac OS X it is even more susceptible to attacks from internet hackers and computer viruses.
The reason why the Unix makes the Mac OS X susceptible to attacks is because the Unix is a networking operating system that has been here long before the Windows. This makes the Unix very familiar with hackers. That is why Mac users needed a good antivirus checker that can detect viruses even before they start spreading.
The ClamXav is a free anti-virus system that uses Clam Antivirus which was designed as an anti-virus toolkit for the Unix. This antivirus engine is very popular for Mac users providing them with a free solution to all their computer virus worries.

When I finally purchased my own personal iPod, I was only half-excited. I've been dreaming of owning one for months but when I finally did, reality came rushing in. I had a number of worries about my unit especially that it’s a 4th Gen iPod. But my major problem concerns the battery. How can I get the most from my iPod battery? Is it covered by a warranty? Or can I use an external battery the moment it runs out?
The iPod battery is very essential. To get the most out of it you have to make sure that you have installed the latest software into your iPod. You can find this in the Apple website. Another tip, every time you are not using your iPod don’t forget to use the hold switch. This way you can save the battery of your iPod without unintentionally turning it on when the buttons are pressed accidentally. Third, the battery is kept in its perfect condition when it is used in room temperature.
This means that you should avoid exposure to direct sunlight so that you can maximize the use of your iPod unit. If your worry is whether the battery is covered by the warranty; the answer is yes. There are brands that make external battery pack for the iPod like Belkin and Battery Tech, so you wouldn't have to worry anytime your battery runs out.

Apple has been one of the major innovators in the technological age. They are the pioneers of computer development. Now, they are showing their full support to the Bluetooth technology. They have made their laptops and computers, Bluetooth capable. Apple is a fan of Bluetooth. It sees the practicality and convenience of eliminating wires thus making connections easier and faster.
With Apple computers having the Bluetooth capability, it is now easier to transfer photos from a cellphone. Personal digital assistants are now easier to manage and organize. You can now do a HotSync thru Bluetooth and your laptop content will be coordinated with your PDA.
You can also share messages and pictures with this technology. Using your Mac, you can also connect to the internet wirelessly by accessing the GPRS in your cellphone and connecting it, thru Bluetooth, in your computer. One of the simplest but most convenient use of Bluetooth is the use of mouse and keyboard in the computer. No more pesky wires that you have to drag and you can now type in any position you want to. Apple sees the advantages and benefits Bluetooth offers so you can expect it to continue embedding these chips into their devices.

I love the Apple iPod video. I went to the electronic store in town to try one out. It's like you have MTV in your hands. It has a large 2-1/2 inch full-color LCD screen where you can enjoy your music videos, anywhere you are. It can play 75 hours of video, 25,000 digital photos, and 500 hours of music. It's a 30GB MP3 player, for goodness' sake. It's a whole entertainment system right at the palm of your hands. I'm looking forward to buying myself one of these, I love this iPod!
